It's not often you get a chance to show the “unboxing” of a book. My eagerly awaited copy of “Things I have learned in my life so far” by Stefan Sagmeister arrived yesterday and I was delighted to discover that it was not merely a book, but lots of little books in a lovely die–cut box.
I’m Phil Clandillon, an interactive designer and art director. For the last 8 years I’ve worked both client and agency side on digital projects for music industry and entertainment clients as well as consumer brands. The aim of this blog is to document and explore the changing role of graphic design and the web in promoting music as we make the transition to a predominantly digital music industry. Along the way I'll also be covering examples of the best uses of graphic design, interactive media and generally clever marketing for bands, artists and records.
